The Art Of Progress
Welcome to Paradise, nestled just a few kilometers north and 140m above Glenorchy township. You will find our latest modular escape.
Once again, this remote site showed the benefits of building with the Arbol Difference for the ultimate in occupant comfort, longevity, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
We constructed the home in our Cromwell facility. The two modules and linkway were loaded on to three trucks Monday afternoon 19th March 2025, and on the road through Kawarau Gorge by Tuesday 2:00am.
Navigating their way through downtown Queenstown, past the iconic Fergburger, followed by a tight squeeze through the bluffs on route to Glenorchy, it was meticulously planed with only 50mm clearance in spots.
Come Wednesday evening , all parts were landed and connected, with our clients enjoying the epic views from their new living room shortly after!
This system saved over an estimated 800 trips to site from Queenstown, that's 38,400 minutes (or 26~ days) and 36,800km of driving, or almost a lap around earth (40,075km circumference) which ensured a much faster build time, reduced costs, and that the greatest amount of construction was completed in a controlled environment reducing impact on the outstanding landscape and noise for the surrounding neighbors.
It features 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen, laundry, and lots of integrated storage spaces.
2 x stunning tiled showers.
5 x less heating demand than NZ building code.
Centralised continuous filtered fresh air ventilation and heat recovery.

" When we starting to look at options for the build on our property in Glenorchy we decided that a relocatable / modular option was the best method of construction due to the isolation of Glenorchy from Queenstown and the fluctuating weather of the area. A factory-built home can be undertaken in a controlled environment, to better quality and shorter time frames than a conventional build.
We looked at a number of relocatable house builders, however Arbol was the standout company of those we looked at, what attracted us was the enthusiasm and passion of Marcus and Todd plus their ability to offer an energy efficient, well insulated home with attractive detailing and finishes that would fit well on our site. We could see that Arbol had a “point of difference”.
The build process was very straight forward; it was easy to visit the Arbol factory in Cromwell to agree finishes and view the high quality of detailing and finishing. The Arbol team were always happy to walk us around the build and explain the detailing and materials used to achieve an energy efficient / eco home. The 3 modular units were completed in less than 14 weeks and delivered within a week of our agreed completion date.
If was an exciting moment for us to see the modules come together over 2 days, what an instant transition from our bare building platform.
We have had the pleasure of living in our new holiday home over the last 4 months, we just love being there, the house has been amazingly warm and dry over the winter months, while we have 2 heat pumps, these are soon turned off as the ventilation heat recovery system maintains a comfortable temperature.
The Birch Ply lining crates a wonderful ambiance to the house.
We have been pleasantly surprised how low our power bills have been over the winter, this is due we believe to the materials, services and detailing Arbol have adopted in their Eco Homes.
In conclusion we would highly recommend Arbol as a relocatable / modular home builder, they have developed a “niche” product and are specialists in their field. "
